Instructions on proper usage:
- When using the Power Stream Oral Irrigator, one should use a moderate pressure setting. Excessive pressure may hurt your gums.
- Do not aim the water jet at the gingival crevice ( the space between the teeth and hums ) since damage to the gingival tissue may occur.
- The water jet should be directed at the tooth from the gums, pointing slightly downward for the upper teeth and pointing slight upward for the lower teeth.
- Don not aim at the gums from the occlusal surfaces ( The surface of a tooth that chews, grinds or makes contact with an opposing surface of a tooth in the opposing jaw )
- Gum irrigation and mouth rinsing are not meant to replace tooth brushing. The Power Stream Oral Irrigator is suitable for cleaning food residue stuck between the teeth and beneath the gums. Power Stream Oral Irrigator promotes healthy teeth and gums as a supplement to a toothbrush (Bacteria that cause tooth decay and periodontal disease can only be removed by the brushing movements of a toothbrush)
- Dentures should be removed for cleaning after each meal. Pay special attention to cleaning the real tooth next to the dentures; otherwise, tooth decay may occur and affect the life span of the dentures and health of your real teeth.
- To prevent the build-up of water incrustation and growth of bacteria, experts recommend that the Oral Irrigator set should be replaced every six months.
